Officers Bitten By Dogs During Arrest

Two officers were bit by dogs while arresting a man for stealing a camper this week in Grand Junction. 41-year-old Bryan Johnson of Grand Junction was arrested by Mesa County deputies Wednesday, after they found a stolen 32-foot camper in his possession. While police were arresting Johnson, two officers sustained minor injuries when they were bitten by two of Johnson’s dogs. Jonson was cited for failure to control the dogs, in addition to felony charges for aggravated motor vehicle theft, possession of a weapon by a previous offender and possession of a dangerous or illegal weapon.
