NW Colorado Produced 81% Of States Coal In April

coalplugNorthwest Colorado produced over 80% of the states coal in April according to recent numbers released by the Yampa Valley Data Partners. However, the numbers are slightly misleading as annual production for 2016 is 23 to 44 percent behind the totals for 2015. Oil and gas production is also slipping. Oil and Gas extraction totals for April of this year fell in Moffat, Rio Blanco and Routt Counties when compared to the previous year. When comparing month to month gas production from March to April of this year Moffat and Routt counties both showed slight increases. To view the Yampa Valley Data Partners Fast Facts click here.
