winter-weather-#1A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 5 Sunday afternoon for the valleys and will continue until 3 am Monday for the mountains and areas along the continental divide.  Sunday, Northwest Colorado can expect additional accumulations of 1 to 2 inches at lower elevations with 6 to 11 inches for mountain areas.  Winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 35 mph at times Sunday afternoon causing visibility that may be lower than 3 miles in snow, and occasionally below 1 mile in blowing and drifting snow.  Snow will diminish Monday with little or no new accumulation, and snow ending Monday night.  For the latest road conditions listen to 93.7 102.3 KRAI or 55 Country.

In basketball:
Hayden’s girls beat West Grand (41-32). The boys lost (62-40).
The Meeker girls topped Hotchkiss (40-32).
Steamboat ‘s boys and girls beat Palisade (B=55-38; G=46-45).
Soroco’s games with South Park were postponed.
The Rangely boys and girls lost to Paonia (B=50-47; G=46-4).
Little Snake River Valley boys defeated Manila (62-51).
Moffat County girls defeated Aspen 72-27.
Moffat County boys fell to aspen 66-53.
Hayden boys fell to Encampment 43-60, the girls won 47-43
Steamboat girls lost to Delta 50-30, the boys fell 47-46
Soroco girls defeated West Grand 81-60, the boys lost 53-69
Meeker girls beat Paonia 37-36
Rangely girls lost to Hotchkiss 23-59

In hockey:
Steamboat tied Dakota Ridge (2-2)
