Expect Even More White For Christmas

Snow is expected Monday, with new accumulation or 1 to 3 inches forecast by nightfall.  An additional 1 to 3 inches is predicted overnight Christmas Eve, giving Santa and his reindeer excellent conditions for landings and takeoffs.   Little or no snow is expect for Christmas Day and Tuesday.  If your Christmas plans put you on the highway, be sure to listen to 93.7 102.3 KRAI or 55 Country for road condition updates from the Colorado Department of Transportation, which by the way, provided us with this clever rewriting of the classic “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town”:

You better drive slow, You better have tread
Better like snow, And watch up ahead
CDOT plows are coming to town

They’re clearing your way, For safety they strive
They’re gonna find out who really can’t drive
CDOT plows are coming to town

They’re plowing when you’re sleeping, Work hard when you’re awake
But they will not work miracles, So drive well for goodness sake!

O! You better stay cool, Just focus and drive
Don’t speed like a fool, Safely you will arrive
CDOT plows are coming to town!
