The Craig City Council approved a site plan at their meeting Tuesday for a new Rocky Mountain Machinery sales and supply facility. The location of the 2 million dollar project will be on the south side of the intersection of Highways 40 and 13. Mayor John Ponikvar says the company could break ground on the new facility sometime this fall. The City Council also reached an agreement with SGM, an engineering firm out of Glenwood Springs, to draw up plans for a sidewalk on the north side of Highway 40, to run from the Loaf and Jug to the Columbine Apartments. The city will use a $930,000 grant from the Department of Transportation, combined with $176,000 from the cities capital improvement fund to complete the more than $1 million project.
