On Sunday evening, the Colorado State Patrol responded to a single vehicle crash on Highway 9, north of Breckenridge. A motorcycle, driven by 38-year old Jeremiah Berry of Kremmling was traveling south on Highway 9, near Green Mountain Reservoir. The motorcycle went off the side of the road, hit a delineator post, and then crashed down an embankment. Berry was thrown from the bike. He was not wearing a helmet and was airlifted to St. Anthony’s Central, in Denver, with serious, unknown injuries. Witnesses stated Berry was speeding and passing in an unsafe manner. During the investigation, it was discovered Berry was riding the motorcycle for the first time. Driver inexperience, speeding, alcohol and drugs are considered factors in the cause of the crash.
