Moffat County Officials Say Rivers are Running High and Fast

YAMPA RIVERMoffat County officials are urging caution when venturing around rivers in Northwest Colorado.  River levels have risen significantly over the last week, due to warmer nights.  Thunderstorms are expected to bring rain to the area over the next couple of days, which combined with warmer night time temperatures, could bring snowmelt off the mountains and into the rivers at a higher pace.  Officials say the river is running high and fast already, and that residents and visitors should use caution when floating on or playing around the water.
