Moffat County deputies are investigating a case of animal abuse that left a horse dead. The owner of the horse, Glen Gariner, says he found the horse dead in his pasture earlier this month. He says someone had hobbled the animals back legs and tied it to a fence in the heat of the day. Thehorse had apparently been there for days, but Gariner didn’t notice anything was wrong, until he saw the horse laying in the field. Investigators have no leads, and Gariner says he can’t imagine who would do such a thing. There is a $2,000 reward being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible. If you have any information regarding this case, call the Moffat County Sheriff’s Office.
