Idea weekend weather set the stage for the Moffat County Balloon Fest. With clear skies no, wind and temperatures in the 80’s, contributed to making this year’s Balloon Fest the best yet. Thousands attended the activities on Saturday, which begin with the launching of 15 hot air balloons set to a soundtrack of music. Other activities included a pancake breakfast, chainsaw carving, a story hour and money pit for the kids and pie eating contest. The ZZ Top tribute band, Eliminator KC, and a hot upcoming local band, Sandrock Sound were both well received. Saturday ended with about a dozen balloons taking part in the traditional balloon glow.
