Frank Moe won the Republican nomination for Moffat County Commissioner yesterday. Moe pulled in 1,366 votes to Tom Soos’ 717 in yesterday’s primary election. In another key Northwest Colorado race, Anthony Mazzola won the Republican primary for Rio Blanco County Sheriff. Mazzola garnered 872 votes, while Michael Joos got 600. Chuck McConnell beat out Dave Maloney for State Representative District 26 on the Republican ballot. Routt County Republicans were in line with that with nearly 61 percent of them voting for McConnell. All three counties chose to return Scott Tipton to the U.S. Congress.
