The Moffat County Commissioners accepted a recommendation from the County’s Employee Health Insurance Board at their weekly meeting yesterday to allow Memorial Regional Health to assume operations of the County’s Medical Clinic. The clinic is currently operated by CareHere, a company based in Nashville Tennessee, at a cost of $240,000 annually. The County sent out a request for proposals to operate the clinic and only received responses from CareHere and Memorial Regional Health. The hospitals bid came in at a little over $160,000. Commissioner Ray Beck says that transferring the clinics operating responsibilities to Memorial Regional Health will save the county tens of thousands of dollars a year. Memorial Regional Heath will start operating the clinic beginning in January.
