A community meeting will be held Wednesday in Steamboat to discuss improvements at West Lincoln Park. The meeting will focus on the construction of a new picnic pavilion and playground and how the construction could relate to the future of the Yampa River Queen. The community has voiced concerns about the River Queen concerning safety, outdated and underutilized play features and structural issues. Members of the Steamboat Community Service Department will be at the meeting to gather input from the public, on how they would like to see these issues addressed. The meeting will take place Wednesday evening from 6 to 7:30 in Olympian Hall at the Howelsen Hill Lodge. Pictured the Yampa River Queen, photo courtesy of the City of Steamboat.
