The City of Steamboat will host another meeting next week to gather public input concerning the Comprehensive Parks, Recreation, Open Space, Trails and River Master Plan. The meeting will take place Wednesday night from 5:30 to 8 at the Steamboat Community Center. The event will feature a short presentation outlining the Master Plan’s goals & objectives, and will provide a recap of existing plans and polices, and the community’s values and vision. Attendees will then be able to give their input on the following areas, the Howelsen Hill & Park Area; Yampa River & Core Trail; City-Wide Trails & Emerald Mountain; Open Spaces and Parks & Recreation Facilities. When completed, the Master Plan will provide a 10-year vision for the city’s park and recreation facilities and amenities, as well as an action plan for implementing this vision.
