Due to a number of current and pending environmental regulations and broad changes affecting energy producers, communities like ours are considering plans for economic development. Tonight the City of Craig and the Colorado Air Pollution Control Division will host a public meeting in Craig titled “Energy Communities Planning for the Future”. Featured speakers will share ideas and concerns about power demands, coal, natural gas, renewable energy, energy efficiency, economic development and a wide range of current and potential issues that will impact Northwest Colorado. They will also provide an overview of existing and proposed air quality rules and regulations and other factors impacting energy producing communities. During the meeting, time will be allocated for comments and questions from the public. The open meeting will be tonight in the Moffat County High School Auditorium from 6 to 9.
