A meeting has been planned for Craig residents to get the latest information on the ColoWyo situation. The meeting will include speakers from industry representatives and local government in Moffat and Rio Blanco Counties. Ray Beck and Regas Halandras, the mayors of Craig and Meeker will welcome the audience with brief introductions, followed by an overview of the issue by ColoWyo Mine Manager Chris McCourt. Doug Lempke, Senior Environmental Policy Analyst for Tri-State will give an overview of the National Environmental Policy Act. The audience will also hear from Tri-State Board Chairman Rick Gordon, and Chief Executive Officer for Tri-State Mike McInnes, who will talk about the actions and activities that are currently underway. Closing remarks will be made by Commissioners from Moffat and Rio Blanco Counties. The meeting will be held June 3rd from six to eight in the evening at Moffat County High School.
