Another meeting to discuss increasing Colorado hunting and fishing license fees will take place this Wednesday in Kremmling. Colorado Parks and Wildlife is anticipating a significant budge shortfall this year, so increasing fees could help offset the deficit. The majority of the C-P-W management programs are funded by fees charged for hunting and fishing licenses. Unlike other state agencies, C-P-W does not receive money from the state general fund. According to Northwest Regional Manager Ron Velarde, when you consider all the factors, the need for a fee increase is evident. All who are interested in learning more about the proposed increases are welcome to attend. The meeting will be Wednesday night at 6 at the Grand County CSU Extension Office.
