Meeting To Discuss Hunting And Fishing Fees

colorado parksAnother meeting to discuss increasing Colorado hunting and fishing license fees will take place this Wednesday in Kremmling. Colorado Parks and Wildlife is anticipating a significant budge shortfall this year, so increasing fees could help offset the deficit. The majority of the C-P-W management programs are funded by fees charged for hunting and fishing licenses. Unlike other state agencies, C-P-W does not receive money from the state general fund. According to Northwest Regional Manager Ron Velarde, when you consider all the factors, the need for a fee increase is evident. All who are interested in learning more about the proposed increases are welcome to attend. The meeting will be Wednesday night at 6 at the Grand County CSU Extension Office.
