Meeker Volleyball Coach Nominated To Hall Of Fame

debbie-cooLong time Meeker High School volleyball coach Debbie Cook has been selected as part of the 2016 class to be included in the Colorado High School Activities Association Hall of Fame. Cook is known for her efforts to promote health and wellness in Northwest Colorado, and for helping with education programs throughout her career. Cook’s teams went 393 and 125 during her 22 year career as the head volleyball coach, winning the conference and making it to the state tournament 9 times. Cook was named coach of the year 3 times by the “Colorado Coaches of Girls and Sports”. She received that title eight times in the North West League. She also coached girls track for 16 years and Basketball for two. Cook is currently teaching and volunteering in Glenwood Springs, but continues to reside in Meeker.
