Marijuana Edibles Bill Passes Senate

MARIJUANA-300The Colorado Senate passed the marijuana edibles bill which includes a mandate for rules on how edibles look in order to prevent accidental ingestions.  The bill requires edible marijuana products to be marked with a standard symbol, indicating that the product contains marijuana and is not for consumption by children.  Manufacturers are also prohibited from knowingly adding marijuana to food products reasonable consumers would confuse with trademarked food products and adding marijuana to products primarily marketed to children.  The Colorado House still has to approve changes.
