Although Peyton Manning has been cleared to play, the Broncos Quarterback will not be starting this weekend against the San Diego Chargers. According to the Broncos organization Manning isn’t all the way back and he won’t get to that point, at least not during this season. A story on the Broncos website said that “part of Manning is better than nothing at all”. Manning will be in uniform and ready to play as the backup if called upon this Sunday against San Diego. Manning had this to say about his former backup Brock Osweiler, ” He has done a heck of a job. Played well under tough conditions Monday night against a really good team. All the credit goes to him. That’s where it belongs. He’s really worked hard. I’ll be there to help and support him anyway I can.” Manning is expected to remain in the backup position for the playoffs.
