Miguel Diaz-Martinez of Steamboat, who had previously pleaded guilty to multiple counts of Sex Trafficking and Inducement of Child Prostitution, was sentenced to 50 years in prison in a Routt County Court Friday. District Attorney Brett Barkey says the sentencing of Diaz-Martinez, will allow the nine courageous victims in the case to continue their recovery and healing without fear of ever seeing Diaz-Martinez again. Diaz-Martinez was originally arrested in late 2016, after an investigation determined multiple juveniles had been the victims of sexual assault. The investigation initiated after police received a tip that illegal drug activity was taking place at Diaz-Martinez’s home in Steamboat.
