A Denver man died over the weekend on a river trip in Dinosaur National Monument. The unidentified 60-year-old was in an inflatable kayak when it flipped. Witnesses said the man initially indicated he was okay, but as he continued to float down the river, he became distressed and lost consciousness. The man was eventually retrieved from the river, but attempts to revive him using CPR were unsuccessful. Early indications are that the man died due to a cardiac event. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
