A man who was wanted in Sweetwater County was arrested Friday by Sweetwater County Sheriffs Deputies. 26 year old Gregory Joseph Lee was wanted on warrant for violating his probation, stemming from an unlawful possession of methamphetamine charge. The Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Narcotics and Arrest Group received information about Lee’s location Friday afternoon, and were able to take him into custody during a routine traffic stop. After he was taken into custody, officers discovered an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine, and a loaded semi-automatic hand gun in his vehicle. Lee received an additional charge of possession of a controlled substance which carries a maximum penalty of ten years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
