colorado parksThe New Year has always been a time of setting goals and tackling new and exciting opportunities. For most, improving our physical fitness and living healthier lives is at the top of our New Year’s resolutions. On January 1st you can celebrate the arrival of a new year and get a head start on your fitness goals by participating in a First Day Hike at a Colorado State Park. First Day Hikes are guided expeditions that offer a great way to get exercise, explore nature and welcome in the New Year with friends and family. The hikes, available at 23 state parks across the state, are free but park visitors must possess a valid parks pass to participate. Locally, there are First Day Hikes planned at Stagecoach and Steamboat Lake. You’ll find information detailing those two hikes by following the links in this story at KRAI.COM
