KRAI Weather and Sports – May 4, 2018

The weather in Northwest Colorado should be sunny and beautiful with temperatures in the mid 60s. The sunshine will continue Saturday and it might reach 70 degrees. It will be close. While it will warm up to the mid 70s on Sunday, there will be a few more clouds rolling through our part of the state, but it should still be a beautiful weekend.

In local sports, the Moffat County Boys Swim team is in Glenwood today for the Demon Invitational swim meet. The track and field team is in Grand Junction today and tomorrow, while the Craig Middle School track team is headed up north to Baggs. They’ll be back in Craig on Saturday for the Best of the Best Track Meet at Moffat County High School.

The Varsity Baseball team battles Basalt at 4 p.m. this afternoon at Craig Middle School, and then the Bulldogs take on Aspen in a doubleheader Saturday, starting at 11. Those games are also in Craig, and the graduating seniors will be recognized.

The Moffat County girls soccer team lost to Grand Valley last night for their last game of the season.

Local high school and middle school rodeo teams are competing in Rifle this weekend in the Northwestern Junior High and High School Rodeo. You can watch the rodeo at the Garfield County Fairgrounds in Rifle.

And don’t forget, Goat Yoga is tonight at 5 p.m. on the tennis courts at Moffat County High School. It costs $10 and it is a benefit for the high school Travel Club.
