A woman went to the hospital Tuesday, after a two-vehicle crash at the corner of West First and Ranney streets. The crash was between a bobtailed semi-truck and a passenger car. No word on the extent of her injuries. Those responding include Craig Police, Colorado State Patrol, Craig Fire Rescue, and emergency services from Memorial Regional Health.

The Craig Ghost Walk starts Thursday, telling the story of Craig and Moffat County. The Thursday performances are at the middle School, at 5:30 and 7 tomorrow. Then the historical walking tours run Friday and Saturday. They begin and end from the Center of Craig, at 601 Yampa Avenue. Tours are every 15 minutes starting at 5 p.m. Find out more at Ten stories will be told by reenactors.

The Rotary Club of Craig has given $1,000 to the Memorial Regional Health Foundation. The Craig Press reports its to support the construction of its new medical office building which is next to the hospital. The foundation is still taking donations. For details, call 970-826-2424.

Steamboat Police were called to investigate what someone thought was a severed hand. It was found in the 2600 block of Jacob Circle. It was actually a bear paw. Police think it came from a processing facility.

The big record-breaking firework during Winter Carnival is a go. Routt County Commissioners unanimously approved a special use permit that will allow Tim Borden to build the massive firework at his ranch off of Elk River Road. County planning staff had heard about the firework which is why the permit came into question. Supporters of Borden spoke harshly about that to Routt County Commissioners. During public comment, Jon Quinn said “Certainly leave it up to government to find a solution without a problem,” The firework is set to go off on Feb. 9 during Winter Carnival.

In sports,  There is adult league volleyball tonight. It’s at 7 at Craig Middle School. Tomorrow, the Moffat County High School boys soccer team plays Delta in Craig. The game starts at 4. The Craig Middle School football team has a game at 4:15 tomorrow in Saratoga, Wyoming.

Friday, the CNCC men’s soccer team plays Utah State at 10 at Loudy-Simpson Park. The Cross Country teams are in Delta, and the football team is in Aspen Friday night.
