Deven Mosman

A suspect has been arrested for a string of burglaries out of Milner. The arrest record for 21-year-old Deven Mosman says he is a transient based in Craig. Routt County put a warrant out for his arrest and Moffat County Sheriff’s officers were able to pick up Mosman on Friday and take him to the Moffat County Jail. That’s where he is today. Here’s Ryan Adrian, the Patrol Lieutenant for the Routt County Sheriff’s Office.

Mosman also has charges in Moffat County in addition to those for the burglaries out of Milner, which is in Routt County. His court date in Moffat County is Wednesday, and a court date in Routt County has not yet been set.

South Routt County is hosting a community testing day for the COVID-19 virus. It’s from 9 a.m. to noon this Thursday, May 14, at South Routt Medical Center. You must have symptoms to get tested, and an appointment. Call the medical center for screening. Testing also continues for Routt and Moffat County residents. It’s every Wednesday and Saturday in May, at the rodeo grounds at Howelsen Hill in Steamboat.

To date, 412 people have been tested for the virus in Moffat County with six confirmed cases. In Routt County, there have been 1,357 people tested for COVID-19. 58 tests have been positive with six more cases identified through contact tracing. Six deaths have been reported, all of which were at Casey’s Pond, which is the retirement community.

Dinosaur National Monument is increasing recreational access. All roads and trail open tomorrow. But campgrounds, backcountry travel, river operations, and monument buildings are all still closed. A return to full operations will continue to be phased in.

The South Routt Initiative had a food drive Saturday. Cash donations and local gift cards came in at $10,000. Plus there were seven truckloads of food and cleaning supplies donated for South Routt LiftUp.

It’s in a partnership with a company called ed2go, which specializes in courses that align with careers and certification training, and transferable skills that align with job market demand. Moffat County Board of County Commissioners meet today. Proclamations include that May is Military Appreciation Month. It’s also Peace Officers Day and Police Week.
