Applications for Moffat County High School’s open football coaching positions are coming in, and the candidates will start interviewing later this week. Superintendent Brent Curtice says so far all applications have come in from outside the district. He says the hiring committee will travel for some of the interviews. Those will take place over the course of the next couple of weeks. The former staff was let go after a hazing incident in Wyoming that saw students suffering beatings and humiliation at the hands of their own teammates. The coaching staff was criticized by the parents of the victims for lack of proper supervision. The district would like to get the new staff in place as soon as possible, as the high school football season draws near.
