The body of a missing Illinois woman was found Wednesday in a remote area south of Wamsutter. Search crews from Sweetwater County Search & Rescue deployed Wednesday in the general area of Barrel Springs Draw, and discovered the body of 28-year-old Teresa Withers. The story began September 7th, when 28-year old Mitchell Wiley, of Galesburg, Illinois, was found wandering alone and on foot along the Delaney Rim Road by oilfield workers about 11 miles south of Red Desert. Investigating deputies sent to the scene observed Mitchell to be confused, disoriented, and only partly coherent. As it turns out, he and Withers got stuck about 17 miles south of Wamsutter. They tried to walk out, but Withers became injured and sent Wiley out on his own. It appears, Withers died of hypothermia before she was discovered. Wiley survived the ordeal, and is recovering in a hospital.
