A Rock Springs man was attacked by a bear last week in the Teton Wilderness. James Moore sustained injuries to his head and torso, after he was attacked by the bear while hunting elk with two other people in the area. Moore was taken to a hospital in Idaho, where he was listed in good condition. Wyoming Game and Fish Department personnel determined the bear was simply trying to protect her cubs, after being surprised by Moore and his hunting party. Due to this fact, Wyoming wildlife managers are not planning to capture or euthanize the bear.
