Hixson Found After Reported Break In

A two-day search for disabled veteran, Cory Hixson, who when missing from his home in Broomfield, ended Monday when he was found in Greeley.  Weld county Sheriff’s officers didn’t know that Hixson was a missing person when he was arrested, accused of breaking into a home. The Weld County District Attorney’s Office has yet to determine whether or not to file charges related to the arrest. Hixson, who received a Purple Heart after being injured fighting in Iraq, lost an eye and suffers from a traumatic brain injury which causes him issues with direction and memory loss.  Hixson and his family recently moved from Craig to the Front Range so he would closer to his doctors at the VA Hospital.
