To help deal with future budget constraints in Moffat County, a county hiring freeze was instituted by the Moffat County Commissioners at their weekly meeting Tuesday. The commissioners will vote on a resolution at their meeting next week to make clarifications on the freeze. The clarifications will deal with hiring in departments with a small staff, and what will happen if a County employee needs to be fired and replaced. The County will still hire for positions they have been looking to fill recently. However, those hiring’s will have to be approved by the Commissioners in an open community meeting.
