One man was arrested Wednesday morning, after he took police on a high speed chase from Casper to Rawlins. Police first made contact with 26 year old Adam Braun, south of Casper around 5 , but were unable to keep up with his vehicle as he was traveling at very high speeds. Officers later came into contact with Braun again, approximately 43 miles north of Rawlins. Police pursued Braun at speeds of up to 130 miles per hour, until they were finally able to disable his vehicle using spike strips. He was eventually arrested near the intersection of 5th and Pine Street in Rawlins. Following the arrest, a loaded pistol and AR-15 rifle were discovered in his vehicle. Braun was transported to the Carbon County Detention Center where he was charged with vehicular eluding, reckless driving, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana and methamphetamines.
