Democrat John Hickenlooper has taken the oath of office for a second term as Colorado governor. Hickenlooper fended off a challenge from Republican Bob Beauprez in November. Hickenlooper touted the state’s economic accomplishments and looked back at the tragedies Colorado has endured – from massive wildfires, to historic flooding, and the Aurora theater massacre. The governor says he is not the same person he was four years ago, just like the state is not the same it was four years ago. Hickenlooper delivers his annual State of the State address to lawmakers tomorrow.
