A more than 500 acre wildfire in Grand County was sparked by target practice at a shooting range. That’s according to Grand County deputies, who say the blaze started at around noon yesterday at the Byers Canyon Shooting Range. As of yesterday evening, the fire had burned about 568 acres. There have been no injuries, however, the residents of one home were evacuated for a brief time. They have since been allowed home. The range is operated by Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
