Gardner “Disappointed” That Immigration Fix Failed

Colorado Senator Cory Gardner released a statement, after the US Senate failed to advance he and Bennet’s immigration reform legislation, or any other fixes to the country’s immigration challenges during yesterdays debates. Gardner says the United States immigration system is broken, which is why he voted yesterday for a variety of solutions. President Trump has repeatedly stated he wants to address the Dreamer population and increase border security, and according to Gardner, the proposals he supported would have done just that. Gardner says he is disappointed the Senate was not able to find a solution, but he pledges to continue working with Senator Bennet and other colleagues on both sides of the aisle to find an immigration fix that can pass the Senate, the House, and ultimately be signed by the President.
