Fundraiser For Teen With Rare Disease

The Soroco National Honor Society will be hosting a benefit dinner next week for Reina Thomas and her family. Reina is a 13- year old who has been diagnosed with Friedrichs Ataxia, a rare genetic disorder. The disease, similar to muscular dystrophy, is breaking down Thomas’s nervous system. Due to the tremendous medical costs, a donation of any kind would benefit Reina and her family. Tickets for the dinner are $8 for adults, and $5 for kids between 4 and 11, and $6 for senior citizens, 65 and older. Tickets can be purchased through any National Honor Society member, or at the door. The dinner will take place Tuesday night from 5:30 to 7:00 at Soroco High School
