A flood advisory has been issued in Southern Moffat County through Tuesday. The National Weather Service says rises in the Yampa River are due to heavy runoff of mountain snow melt as temperatures remain above normal. Warm temperatures will continue into early next week keeping water levels high. A peak in river levels are forecast to occur near Craig by this morning, reaching Maybell and Deer Lodge Park by tomorrow evening and early Sunday morning. A slow decrease in river levels is forecast to then occur through early next week. Minor flooding of low lying areas near the river can be expected. Those areas include Craig, Maybell, Juniper Springs and Sunbeam.
