Flash Flood Crosses Highway 40 Near Dinosaur

HIGHWAY-40-300A heavy rainstorm around 4 Wednesday afternoon sent water and debris streaming across highway 40 about 10 miles east of the Utah state line closing the highway for a time.  According to the Moffat County Sheriff’s office, rainwater came down a dry wash and also threatened a home in the area.  The road has since been cleared and reopened and residents were allowed to return to their home.  If traveling between mile markers 10-20 on 40 you are advised to be aware of possible continued flash flooding in that area.
