Crews were able to get the Mile Marker 166 fire fully contained yesterday afternoon. The fire had closed highway 40 near the Colorado Utah border Tuesday afternoon. A representative from the Uintah Basin Interagency Fire Center confirmed that the fire was fully contained as of 5:30. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Nearly 4 square miles of land burned during the blaze.
