A federal fugitive was arrested Wednesday afternoon In Mesa County. 40-year-old Rodney Price was taken into custody after officers conducted a search at a home in DeBeque. Price was wanted for Federal firearms violations and also had warrants out of Mesa and Garfield County. The investigation into Price began when investigators determined he was illegally in possession of fire arms as a previous felon. Investigators were also able to confirm Price’s status as a white supremacist gang member. Police initially contacted Price last month where he led officers on a short pursuit, with Price eventually getting away on foot. When officers conducted a search of the vehicle, they found approximately 16 grams of meth. Investigators were able to locate Price at the home in DeBeque Wednesday, where he was taken into custody.
