Alive at 25

Grand Futures and Shell Oil are sponsoring a 4.5 hour Alive at 25 Defensive Driving Course in Craig on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Craig Fire Department from 10;00 to 2:30pm.

There will be a 4.5 hour Alive at 25 Defensive Driving Course in Craig on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 10:00 till 2:30pm at the Craig Fire Department 419 Yampa Ave.

This highly interactive program encourages young drivers between the ages of 15 and 24 to take responsibility for their driving behavior.

Alive at 25 instructors use personal examples and even humor to get their point across.  They use workbook exercises, interactive media segments, group discussion, role playing and short lectures to help young drivers develop convictions and strategies that will keep them safer on the road.

The class is open to all drivers between the ages 15 to 25 and meets the requirements for those new drivers who have not taken a formal drivers education class and  want of apply for a learners permit at age 15.5.

Students can register for the class and pay the $39.00 class fee on line at coloradosafedriver.com or by calling 720 269 4046.

Grand Futures and Shell Oil have provided grants to help any students who may need help paying the class fees.  To apply for these funds students must call instructor Dennis Hensen at 970 871 3685 before registering for the class.
