The Region 8 Administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency has agreed to travel to Moffat County for a Town Hall style listening session regarding new carbon emissions rules. Moffat County Commissioner John Kinkaid invited Shaun McGrath to Craig while in Denver testifying against the new rules last week. Kinkaid says McGrath made the decision to visit the area on his own, without the backing of his agency. Moffat County will sponsor the event, which is tentatively planned for September 10th in the Moffat County High School Auditorium. The time hasn’t been determined yet. Coal miners, power plant workers, small business owners, and residents are encouraged to show up to express their feelings about the new rules.
