The economic development proposal preformed by the group “Better City” from Ogden, Utah was presented to the Moffat County Commissioners Tuesday at their weekly meeting. The proposal included multiple recommendations on how to improve and diversify Moffat County’s economy. Those suggestions include revitalizing the downtown area in Craig and better utilization of the Yampa River’s recreational opportunities. Commissioners John Kinkaid, Chuck Grobe and Frank Moe all pointed out that the “Better City” proposal is the first step to diversify Moffat County’s economy. The next step is to allow stakeholders in the area to review the proposal and make comments. After everyone has had the opportunity to review it, a meeting will be scheduled to officially present the proposal, and any changes, to the public.
