Don’t Leave Kids In Hot Cars

With the increasing summer temperatures, it’s important to remember that children left in hot cars are at great risk of injury or death. According to numbers from the National Highway Traffic Administration, heat stroke is the leading cause of non crash vehicle deaths for children under the age of 14. Studies show that a child’s body temperature increases five times faster than an adult. Even with the windows down, temperatures inside a parked car can reach 120 degrees in ten minutes.
