The 14th Judicial District Attorneys Office has shed a little light on yesterday’s “critical incident” near the Colorado/Utah border…but not much. The Office says there was an officer involved shooting, but won’t say how the incident went down. Their Critical Incident Command Team is investigating the shooting. There were reportedly two suspects, one of which was killed. The other is in custody. Moffat County Sheriff K.C. Hume identified the deputy as Brent Shock, and said Shock has been put on paid administrative leave while the District Attorney’s Office investigates the incident. That’s standard protocol for officers involved in the use of force. The Sheriff’s Office did not identify the Parks and Wildlife Officer.
