Director Of CO Oil and Gas Regulator Resigns

The Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission director has announced he will be stepping down March 2nd. Matt Lepore says he’s moving to a new job at a private consulting firm in the energy industry. In a statement, Lepore said he’s proud of his work in Colorado and is also proud the state’s Oil and Gas rules are held up as national and international examples for effective oil and gas regulation. The Colorado Department of Natural Resources has named Julie Murphy, who currently serves as Assistant Director for Energy and Minerals at the department, to assume the role as director.
