Collisions between deer and cars within the Craig City limits are uncommon, but one of those rare instances occurred Tuesday when a driver hit and killed a deer near 6th and School Street. 84-year-old Eleanor Eitel of Craig was driving when she ran into the deer around 2:45 Tuesday afternoon. The deer was killed on impact. Eitel was uninjured during the incident. Drivers are reminded they need to be on the look out for deer while driving within the city limits of Craig.
