Crews have been able to limit the growth of the Deep Creek Fire over the last few days, but have not increased containment of the blaze. The lightning started fire, which is burning nine mile northeast of Hayden, is at just over 2,200 acres and is 0% contained. Structures which were immediately threatened by the blaze have been evacuated and those within a five-mile radius of the fire have been placed on a pre-evacuation notice. Crews are looking to protect all the structures in the area and are working to contain the fire between existing roads and natural barriers.
