A Craig man, 29-year-old Justin Ketchum, died in a single vehicle accident Tuesday on Highway 40 three miles west of Kremmling. According to the Colorado State patrol, Ketchum was a passenger in the car being driven by 21-year-old Anna Gates of Craig, who lost control of the vehicle sending it down a steep embankment where it rolled multiple times. Josh Lewis of the Colorado State Patrol said that Ketchum, who was in the back seat when the accident occurred, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Gates was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. According to Lewis, Gates told investigating officers that she fell asleep behind the wheel. Neither was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
