A California couple was arrested over the weekend after officers found more than 100 pounds of marijuana in their possession. 24-year-old Nicholas Haws was pulled over for speeding on I-80, when police discovered 106 pounds of marijuana packaged in vacuum sealed bags, contained in five duffle bags. Haws and his passenger, 22-year-old Rayna Quiocho were both arrested without incident and were charged with Unlawful Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance. This incident brings the total amount of marijuana seized by Sweetwater County canine unit’s since late October to just under 800 pounds, with an estimated total street value of well over $4 million.
